Homeless and other disadvantaged persons confronting complex health needs have difficulty prioritising their foot health despite the risk of problems, including diabetes complications. Accordingly Footscape is assembling foot care kits to improve access to necessary resources and promote daily self-care practices amongst affected individuals. Kits are being made available for distribution to recipients of care at our project affiliate organisations:
Each kit comprises betadine liquid, cotton tip applicators, wound dressings, emollient, a long handled file and an education handout.
Podiatrists of our project affiliate organisations may use the Foot Care Kits Evaluation form to compile feedback for distributed Kits. Completed Forms may be submitted to Footscape either by post or email.
